Savannah Children's Museum is a magical outdoor space located at Georgia State Railroad Museum in the old Central of Georgia Carpentry Shop. Our expert educators create fun daily programming so children and families learn while they play!

Savannah Children's Museum is a large, open-air historic site with plenty of space for exploring. Tickets include hands-on activities and guided programs, led by our educators. Savannah Children's Museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, 9:00 am -3:00 pm EST. Closed Monday and Tuesday but check our calendar for special open days! Guests purchasing their tickets online are required to check in at the gift shop to show proof of purchase and receive access instructions and wrist bands for museum entry. The Harper Fowlkes House was built in 1842 and purchased by Aaron Champion in 1843. It remained in the Champion/McAlpin family from its original purchase until 1939 when Alida Harper Fowlkes, a young entrepreneur and preservationist, bought the home as her personal residence. When Alida Harper Fowlkes died in 1985, she willed the house to the Society of the Cincinnati in the State of Georgia and stipulated that her furnishings would remain intact and stay with the home.

This Greek Revival home has a large garden area with a beautiful fountain. Tickets include a rich guided experience of the house and garden. Harper Fowlkes House is open Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, 10:00am-3:00pm EST. Guided tours only - last tour is at 2pm. Old Fort Jackson is a large, open-air historic site located on the Savannah River. It is the oldest brick fortification in Georgia still standing. Tickets include access to the grounds, museum, and a guided experience at select times. Old Fort Jackson is open Monday through Sunday, 9:00am-4:00pm EST. Art & Oysters for 3/27/2025

On Thursday, March 27th, from 6 to 9 pm, at Pin Point Heritage Museum will host “Art & Oysters,” a fundraiser for Coastal Heritage Society featuring several local artists and coastal cuisine!

Tickets for “Art & Oysters”, Coastal Heritage Society's annual fundraiser, are $125 and $100 for Coastal Heritage Society Members.

Proceeds from the auction will support Coastal Heritage Society's mission to provide educational experiences for the public through the preservation and presentation of the historic resources of coastal Georgia and adjacent regions.

Event tickets will include Lowcountry fare and an oyster roast.

2025 Art & Oysters is presented by the Lesher Family Foundation and Clearwater Pools & Patios.
